Adoption Program

Our coral nurseries require weekly maintenance to ensure that macro-algae, sediments, or encrusting organisms do not weigh the trees down or compete with the corals for space and nutrients, which creates less-than-ideal conditions for the corals to thrive.

We are expanding our restoration activities which will require additional coral nursery trees. Therefore,  we are calling upon our friends and supporters to adopt a tree to help us in our quest to restore the reef - one coral at a time. Your adoptions will finance the costs of the materials and yearly maintenance of a coral nursery tree.

You can adopt a tree for a one or two-year period. Cost for the one year adoption is $250 per year or $400 for two years.  

Your adopted nursery tree will grow hundreds of corals before they are outplanted back onto Roatan's reefs.

Your Adoption includes:

• Thank you letter

• Certificate of Adoption

• Personalized Underwater Tree Tag placed on your adopted coral nursery tree

• Picture of your adopted coral nursery tree with your tree tag
